At FUCHS we aim to nurture your capabilities, ideas and career.   The Compounder works in the production department and is responsible for manufacturing of specialty lubricants. The Compounder must follow product folders to ensure all specification levels are met.  The Compounder must adhere to all regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years working in chemical manufacturing experience
  • Computer literate required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical ability preferred
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment

Responsibilities

  • Wear mandatory PPE at all times.
  • Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
  • Review folder, calculate requirements, and verify weight of material
  • Documents production by completing forms, reports, logs, and records of equipment and batches
  • Locate material and supplies, and verify lots and weights according to the manufacturing order
  • Prepare and load raw materials into equipment
  • Must complete daily assigned tasks to meet production volume and schedule
  • Ensure that end products conform to FUCHS quality standards in accordance with 6S standards
  • Prepare finished goods for shipment by packing, labeling and loading on dock
  • Ensure that work environment is maintained clean, safe and organized
  • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns;
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in training opportunities
  • Utilization of lean manufacturing techniques throughout production
  • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections
  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory
  • Responsible for responding to assigned corrective actions per the CAR system
  • Some heavy lifting (up to 75-lbs.) may be required
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
