As a Chemical Batch Operator, you'll play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, ensuring quality products, and delivering exceptional results that WOW our customers. The Chemical Batch Operator is responsible for adherence to Company and customer requirements for product manufacturing and packaging. This role is critical in producing high-quality products. You will be comfortable with change, as the Company implementing 5S methodologies and working to achieve ISO 9001 certification. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. You should have prior experience in a blending operation. You should have experience operating forklifts (e.g., stand up, sit down, boom lifts) in tight environments and on a busy schedule. Requirements

  • Chemical blending experience required
  • Minimum Education: High school or equivalent degree
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently (e.g., lifting multiple 50-pound containers off of the assembly line; stacking products on pallets; pulling and packing for shipping).
  • Must be forklift certified
  • Analytical and detail-oriented thinker
  • Attitude - Motivated to learn; Dependable; Team player; Go getter.
  • Self-starter, multi-tasker and highly detail-oriented
  • Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently.
  • Operations - Able to drive a forklift.
  • Appearance - Maintains a professional appearance appropriate for the daily activity; Ensures proper protective equipment, including footwear is worn.
  • Required to lift heavy weight on a daily basis (50 pounds or greater).
  • Required to walk.
  • Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Required to talk or hear.
  • Required to bend, lift and climb
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Exposure to chemicals.
  • Protective clothing or equipment is required including gloves, boots, protective eyewear, N95 mask (in some areas).
  • The noise level in the work environment usually is moderate.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely production of high-quality finished goods for chemical manufacturing.
  • Work with QC timely reviews of batches.
  • Ensure all production plans are met in a timely manner
  • Provide coaching and reviews for all employees under your work area.
  • Create an environment that encourages open communication among team members.
  • Ensure all employees stay current on training.
  • Ensure adherence to equipment maintenance schedule, start up and shut down protocols.
  • Keep production area clean and organized.
  • Achieve daily performance metrics.
  • Prepare work status reports.
  • Contribute to team effort by helping with other projects and duties as needed
