The Chemical and Nuclear Surety Lead is responsible for providing specialized expertise and oversight of Army programs related to chemical and nuclear surety. This key position ensures the Army’s compliance with Department of Defense, federal, and Army-specific regulations concerning the safety, security, accountability, and reliability of chemical agents and special nuclear materials. The Surety Lead serves as the principal advisor on all matters of surety, accident and incident response, and personnel reliability, working closely with the Treaty Compliance and Surety Division (DAMO-SSD) and other Army stakeholders. The role involves supporting policy development, reviewing compliance documentation, participating in inspections, and advising leadership on emerging risks and requirements in a challenging, highly regulated defense environment. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have an active SECRET clearance.
