About The Position

The Chef Tournant is a highly skilled, versatile culinary leader responsible for supporting kitchen operations across multiple stations and outlets. This role provides supervisory coverage in the absence of the Assistant Executive Chef, or Executive Chef, ensuring consistent food quality, sanitation, and team performance. The Chef Tournant fosters a productive, sanitary, and team‑oriented work environment while upholding Caesars Entertainment’s Family Style Service standards.

Requirements

  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Minimum two years of experience as a line‑level Supervisor or Chef in a restaurant environment
  • Must present a neat, professional appearance
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Food Safety Employee Training required
  • Valid Food Handler’s Card required
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple tasks and time‑sensitive demands
  • Must be able to handle high business volumes and sensitive staff or guest situations professionally
  • Requires reading and understanding policies, procedures, daily memos, and chemical labels
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in hot high‑pressure kitchen environments
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain SNHD Food Handlers Health Card required for the position
  • Ability to effectively communicate with guests, employees, and management
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, guests, and team members
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to operate Point‑of‑Sale systems accurately

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary Arts degree or equivalent technical training preferred
  • Bilingual abilities preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assume full operational responsibility in kitchen areas in the absence of culinary leadership
  • Work closely with Room Managers and front‑of‑house teams to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Ensure consistent quality, flavor, and presentation of all food products
  • Teach, mentor, and develop culinary staff while modeling pride, professionalism, and craftsmanship
  • Maintain food cost, labor cost, and operating expenses within established budget guidelines
  • Write and post line‑level employee schedules in a timely manner
  • Monitor, review, and sign off on line‑level employee timecards
  • Report equipment issues promptly to culinary leadership and Engineering
  • Uphold sanitation, safety, and nutrition standards
  • Create new, innovative, and imaginative recipes and assist with menu development
  • React quickly to resolve operational challenges and guest concerns
  • Support and foster team loyalty while conducting business professionally at all times
  • Rotate through all kitchen stations as needed providing relief coverage
  • Maintain reliable attendance and adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies
  • Demonstrate Caesars Entertainment’s Family Style Service at all times
