About The Position

Join the Creative Dining Services team as a Chef Manager, where your culinary creativity, leadership, and business acumen come together to deliver exceptional dining experiences. You’ll oversee all aspects of food service operations — from menu innovation and financial performance to staff development and client satisfaction — within a collaborative and mission-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of chef experience or 3 years of food service experience with a kitchen focus.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • ServSafe Certification (required for production-focused roles).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic food costing/math skills.
  • Management experience in high-volume food operations (college, healthcare, or corporate dining preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily kitchen operations to ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop menus, recipes, and food standards that align with our brand and client expectations.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and maintain accurate inventory and purchasing practices.
  • Hire, train, and mentor kitchen staff to promote teamwork, professionalism, and continuous growth.
  • Collaborate with clients and dining committees to ensure high levels of satisfaction and responsiveness.
  • Oversee catering programs, marketing initiatives, and merchandising efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards as well as company policies.
