You will guide your staff in delivering exceptional guest service, scratch cooking and food production, and overseeing any catering events. Your attention to the details of maintaining food cost and labor costs help you achieve outstanding profitability. Your hands-on leadership style allows for easy teaching and training of your staff. Taher, Inc. is a family-owned food service management company specializing in K-12 school meals, corporate dining, senior dining, catering, vending, prepared services, and baked goods. Our chefs develop recipes prepared from scratch, inspired from around the world, using fresh ingredients to delight and nurture our guests. Requirements

  • 2 years in a contract foodservice management position or equivalent experience in quick service or full-service restaurant environment with inventory, purchasing, and scheduling knowledge
  • Current Serv/Safe certification
  • Experience managing and meeting goals within a P&L environment
  • Previous exposition cooking, menu planning and catering experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and other platforms
  • Ability to work and manage in a high-energy environment
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check

Responsibilities

  • Full accountability for culinary management of your operation including purchasing, inventory, receiving, and production.
  • Schedule, train, and guide your staff
  • Create and oversee the execution of weekly menus
  • Create a customer-first environment
  • Meet corporate deadlines including keying of invoices, weekly, and monthly reporting responsibilities
  • Hold team to the highest food safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintain food and labor costs to achieve financial goals
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by leadership
