About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a passionate leader for a Chef Manager at Penn State Health’s flagship 628-bed medical center, Penn State Health - Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. The Chef Manager will have oversight of all culinary functions supporting $10 million in annual retail sales and over 1500 patient meals daily. The Chef Manager will oversee culinary services with direct management of all culinary operations. We utilize a patient room service model with traditional patient meal delivery. We are the flagship for the Penn State Health System, implementing and driving a test pilot for the menu. We are a leader in cultivating a spirit of inclusion and client partnership.

Requirements

  • Monitor all HACCP and Sanitation processes and Ecosure Readiness
  • Manager FMS food platform
  • Provides direction for all culinary employees to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.
  • Directs daily operations of retail and patient culinary services at units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.
  • Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
  • Minimum Management Experience - 1 year
