About The Position
Eurest is seeking a full-time Chef to join our team at the Boca Resort in Boca Raton, FL. This position is crucial in directing, coordinating, and evaluating the kitchen and food production staff to ensure high standards of food service and quality are maintained. The Chef will supervise and participate in the activities of cooks and other associates engaged in preparing, cooking, and serving food, ensuring that all food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards are met. The role requires a proactive approach to managing kitchen operations, including overseeing hourly kitchen associates, conducting interviews, scheduling shifts, managing payroll, training staff, and participating in performance reviews. In this role, the Chef will efficiently prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes, ensuring that production, delivery, and service schedules are met. The Chef will also be responsible for maintaining proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and serving temperatures. Tracking food use, waste, and consumption is essential for requisitioning or purchasing products, as well as receiving and inspecting supplies for quality and quantity. The Chef will maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Additionally, the Chef will assist in selecting and developing recipes and menus, contributing to the overall culinary experience offered at the Boca Resort.
