About The Position

The Chef de Partie at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach will supervise and support the culinary team at the Seaway Restaurant, ensuring the highest quality service and experience for guests. This full-time position involves planning, preparing, and cooking food items, as well as supporting banquet operations, all while maintaining the high standards of the Four Seasons brand.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of cooking experience in high-end hotel/resort restaurant industry.
  • Culinary degree and Food & Beverage background.
  • Ability to operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment such as deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the culinary team for the Seaway Restaurant.
  • Plan, prepare, and cook food items to ensure high-quality service.
  • Assist in creating and preparing menu items and specials.
  • Check and complete mise en place and pars and set-up.
  • Complete requisitions, obtain proper signatures, and submit to the Purchasing department.
  • Communicate with the Sous Chefs and Executive Chef regarding menu items and shortages.
  • Utilize the computer system to retrieve orders.
  • Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentations to maintain quality standards.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and encouragement.
  • Store items properly at the end of the shift.
  • Ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area.
  • Handle and report any accidents immediately.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons.
  • Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management.
  • Follow all guidelines for timely food service to guests.
  • Be certified in food service sanitation.
  • Have knowledge of Four Seasons Food Standards.
  • Work in at least three different sections.
