We are seeking a Chef de Cuisine to lead the culinary operations of this high-volume fine dining concept, delivering refined, ingredient-driven cuisine with precision and flair. The Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for executing the restaurant’s established culinary vision, leading a large, skilled team to deliver precise, consistent, and exceptional cuisine in one of Los Angeles’ most anticipated new dining destinations.

Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
  • 7+ years of progressive culinary leadership in high-volume fine dining or luxury hotel environments.
  • Proven ability to manage large teams and deliver consistent results during peak service.
  • Expertise in both modern and classical techniques, with a strong eye for plating and presentation.
  • Demonstrated success in food and labor cost management.
  • Collaborative, composed, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for art, culture, and creating memorable, sense-driven experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all back-of-house operations for a high-volume fine dining restaurant, ensuring excellence in taste, presentation, and timing.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to execute seasonal, market-driven menus that highlight fresh, locally sourced ingredients and align with the restaurant’s established culinary direction.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a large culinary team with a focus on creativity, consistency, and accountability.
  • Drive operational efficiency while maintaining exceptional guest experiences at scale.
  • Manage purchasing, inventory, scheduling, and labor costs to meet financial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Partner with the front-of-house leadership team to maintain seamless service and communication between kitchen and dining room.
  • Support high-profile events, chef collaborations, and VIP dining experiences hosted within LACMA.
