About The Position
At Wegmans, the mission is to help customers live healthier, better lives through food. As a team member in the Cheese Shop, the role involves educating customers on unique cheeses and other department offerings, assisting them in finding meal components and pairings. The team member is responsible for ensuring the freshest and best variety of cheeses are on display and available, ripened to perfection. This role is suitable for individuals with a passion for international cheeses who enjoy educating customers and providing excellent service in a fast-paced setting.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Passion for different cheeses from around the world
- Enjoy educating and delivering incredible service to customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Provide incredible service by proactively approaching customers and answering questions
- Take orders, package product, and keep our shelves stocked throughout the day
- Consistently grow product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new and featured items
- May unload daily deliveries and stock cases, displays and backroom coolers with new and existing products/inventory
