About The Position

The Cheese Shop/Dept Leader is responsible for creating a unique customer cheese experience that embodies food passion, cheese knowledge, interactive customer service, team leadership, and industry-leading merchandising, unique to Murray’s Cheese. This role involves close collaboration with Deli Merchandising and district staff, as well as direct reports, to cultivate an environment of outgoing, personal, and theatrical cheese retailing within the store. The leader is expected to role model proactive selling and superior product knowledge to drive targeted sales, while consistently demonstrating the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Create a unique customer cheese experience that will embody the food passion, cheese knowledge, interactive customer service, team leadership and industry leading merchandising that is uniquely Murray’s Cheese.
• Work closely with Deli Merchandising and district staff, as well as direct reports, to create an environment of outgoing, personal and theatrical cheese retailing within the store environment.
• Role model proactive selling and superior product knowledge to drive sales in a targeted manner.
• Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
