This role oversees daily operations including team leadership, ordering, inventory, merchandising, and product quality. The Cheese Manager plays a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience while maintaining high department standards and driving sales performance. Requirements

  • Previous experience in grocery, specialty food, or cheese retail required.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the Gourmet Cheese Department in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage ordering, inventory, merchandising, and product quality.
  • Cut, wrap, and maintain proper handling of specialty and artisanal cheeses.
  • Create attractive displays that promote sales and product visibility.
  • Maintain a clean, organized department following food safety standards.
  • Train, coach, and support team members.
  • Monitor product freshness, rotation, and department presentation.
