Requirements

  • Proven ability to maintain focus and productivity while performing detailed tasks such as ordering, inventory management, merchandising, and supervising staff.
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify operational issues and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Effectively manages multiple tasks and shifting priorities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of department responsibilities.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with customers, team members, store management, and vendors.
  • Ability to demonstrate, encourage, and set the example of Adams' culture and values.
  • Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and vast knowledge about Adams' products and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Cheese & Coffee Manager with the day-to-day operations of the department, including merchandising, inventory control, production, and customer service.
  • Assist in overseeing inventory levels and manage purchasing to meet customer demand and minimize waste.
  • Assist with job interviews, support disciplinary discussions, and help develop employee success plans to align individual goals with company objectives.
  • Assist with scheduling staff in alignment with employee's availability and if assigned, oversee payroll accuracy to meet operational needs and budget goals.
  • Support and perform appropriate training, guidance, and ongoing development to help build a skilled and effective team.
  • Ensure all department operations comply with applicable food safety, sanitation, labor, and safety regulations.
  • Address unexpected issues such as staffing gaps, employee conflicts, and inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively.
  • Handle customer concerns to ensure satisfaction and maintain brand reputation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly department, including sales floor, prep areas, cases, and equipment.
  • Support all departmental functions and positions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
