About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director/Coordinator, the Program Instructor I will be primarily responsible for providing quality leadership and supervision, in sports and/or classes, while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.

Requirements

• A minimum of 16 years of age.
• Maintain current certifications in CPR AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention, New Employee Orientation and other wellness department and designated Branch training, or the ability to obtain within 60-90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience instructing is preferred.
• Basic knowledge in sports skills and techniques is preferred.
• Ability to learn and successfully demonstrate necessary skills.
• Verbally provide clear concise directions and visually inspect classroom for safety
