About The Position

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School is seeking a Head Coach for the Cheerleading team for the Winter Season of the 2025-2026 school year. The position is part of the Athletics & Activities department and is essential for guiding and developing the cheerleading program at the school.

Requirements

• NJ Instructional Certification.
• Successful experience coaching Cheerleading.
• Experience as a player in the sport is preferred.
• Completion of Principles of Coaching Course and current CPR/AED preferred but must be willing to obtain.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in coaching at the high school level.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the cheerleading team during the winter season.
• Develop training programs and practice schedules.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members.
