About The Position

The Wiz Kids Foundation is seeking an enthusiastic professional to coordinate Cheer related activities during the summer camp session. The Cheer Head Coach is responsible for teaching fundamental skills as well as more advanced routines. The Cheer Head Coach oversees a team that guides campers through the day ‐ to-day activities during this activity segment.

Requirements

• Prior coaching experience in cheer at the elementary or high school level.

Nice To Haves

• Coaching certification in the sport of cheer or an advanced degree in Sports Administration is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead daily activity specific drills and training components
• Oversees participant development culminating in team exhibitions
• Ensure the welfare of campers and positive resolution of camper-related issues by communicating clearly and consistently with camp leadership staff
• Willingness to comply with Suspected Child Abuse Reporting (Subsection (a)(6) of 325 ILCS 5-4).
• Additional duties as contracted.
