About The Position

Invest in you, join Agropur! Enjoy a three day off weekend every other weekend! We are actively recruiting a Cheddar Operator on the NIGHT shift to join our team in Weyauwega, WI. This position is responsible for the packaging and sealing of the cheddar cheese into 640 lbs. boxes. This position will also assist with MMS and General Sanitation duties, as well as other general labor duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience Required: Minimum three (3) years of experience preferred.
  • Skills Required: Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow one- or two-step verbal instructions; read and follow written instructions; perform routine and repetitive tasks and carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or verbal instructions.
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
  • HSED or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Be team-oriented, safety conscious and self-motivated.

  • Certification/Licensure Required: Lift Truck License prefered.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles 640 boxes
  • Fills barrels
  • Moves 640 barrels through inverter
  • Removes pans and angles
  • Loads and unloads vacuum chambers
  • Moves 640 barrels from rail area to seal area
  • Seals 640 barrels
  • Transports 640 barrels to pre-cooler
  • Performs essential sanitation duties
  • Works in a safe manner
  • Maintains a safe and clean area
  • Completes necessary paperwork as required
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.
