About The Position

Food Production - Checker Operator (Shipping/Receiving) – Full Time – Enid, OK 73701 These positions start at $19.90/HR and a shift differential of $.60/HR for 2nd shift. This position is responsible for operating a forklift to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the shipping and receiving process, verifying, counting, and stacking. This position also requires basic computer knowledge, simple math, continuous work in subzero temperatures, while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must have been in their current position 6 months, to transfer to another shift, line, or facility.
  • Must have been in their current position 90 days to promote.
  • Must have less than 4 points
  • No written warnings in the past 6 months
  • No suspensions in the last 12 months
  • Must be willing and able to track and maintain product shipping records, delegate tasks, and complete daily checklist.
  • Must be willing and able to ensure that product is loaded correctly (ergonomically correct) and accurately using quality pallets and undamaged products.
  • Must be willing and able to maintain inventory accuracy within their work area.
  • Must be familiar with company policies, procedures, HACCP and GMP’s.
  • Must be willing and able to observe and promote plant Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Must be willing and able to stand, sit, bend, walk, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, reach, and climb stairs frequently.
  • Must be willing and able to lift, carry, push, and pull 20-70 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to work in extreme temperatures with damp environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces.
  • Must be willing and able to overtime and weekends.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must be willing and able to understand labels, read recipes, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.
