About The Position

Join our Fiesta Mart Store Operations Team as a Checker - 073 Irving-W Airport (ages 16-17)! The Checker is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, performing cash register operations and safeguarding company assets. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements. Candidates should possess the ability to read and write Spanish/English, interact with the general public and co-workers, and apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write Spanish/English
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Physical ability to lift and/or move weights as specified

Responsibilities
