About The Position

As a host with Marriott Hotels, you will activate room keys using an electronic key machine and reissue new room keys to guests as necessary. You will communicate to appropriate staff that there are guests waiting for an available room and advise guests of any messages received for them, sending them to their room if required. You will accommodate requests for room changes when possible and supply guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, and hours of operation, as well as local areas of interest and activities. Additionally, you will tag, store, and retrieve luggage from luggage storage, providing guests with proper claim tickets for their luggage. You will identify and explain room features to guests and ensure that any outstanding requests or problems from the previous day receive priority and are resolved. Arranging transportation for guests/visitors and responding to all guest needs/requests will also be part of your responsibilities. You will follow all company policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to your manager, and ensure your uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets is essential. You will welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Clear and professional communication with guests and co-workers is expected, as well as supporting all co-workers and treating them with dignity and respect. You will partner with and assist others to promote an environment of teamwork and achieve common goals. Compliance with quality assurance expectations and standards is required. You will need to read and visually verify information in various formats, visually inspect tools and equipment, and perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance, and performing other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • No related work experience required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No license or certification required.
