Admissions for AAU Basketball Tournament
About The Position
As a check-in staff member, you will be the first person teams see as they enter the venue. You will be responsible for welcoming spectators, scanning tickets, distributing event wristbands, and checking wristbands of spectators at the entry point. You will receive a complimentary staff shirt to wear during the event. Event Details: Event: Mid Atlantic Cup Date: April 3rd-4th Location: Chase Fieldhouse and The Alan Horwitz "Sixth Man Center" Address: 401 Garasches Ln, Wilmington, DE 19801; 4250 Wissahickon Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19129 Work Hours: Friday April 3rd - 5:30pm-10:00pm Saturday April 4th - 6:30am-10:00pm Pay Rate: You will be paid $15/hour for this position.
Requirements
- Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written.)
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail in all tasks.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physical Requirement: Must be able to stand for up to an hour at a time during your shift.
- Staff members must have a smart phone.
Responsibilities
- Greet spectators as they arrive and during the event.
- Scan spectator QR codes and distribute wristbands.
- Monitor returning spectators by verifying valid event wristbands at re-entry points.
- Assist with the needs of the event director.
