About The Position

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for a Check in Clerk to work at our Meriden, CT Service Center. Responsibilities will include answering calls on a multi-line system, redirecting calls to appropriate contacts, data entry, processing driver paperwork, and assisting dispatchers. Other duties may apply as requested by management. R+L Carriers is a family owned, privately held transportation company founded in 1965. Our business caters to the transportation and distribution industry and is designed to provide customers with superior service through efficient administration and innovative thinking. Requirements

Ability to multitask and have a sense of urgency
Ability to type 30 WPM with accuracy
Dependable and well organized
Must be computer literate
Possess strong office, telephone, and communication skills
Able to work in a fast pace environment
Basic knowledge or Windows, Outlook and other Microsoft products

Nice To Haves

2+ years of experience as a clerk or similar role
Freight logistics experience
