The Role The Chassis Systems Virtual Design Development Validation (VDDV) team is a cutting-edge team that is critical to achieving GM’s vision of Zero Emissions, Zero Crashes, and Zero Congestion by developing and executing structural analysis procedures that support vehicle design development and validation. As a Chassis Structure Suspension Steering & Wheels Simulation Engineer, you will conduct design assessments with CAE methods that support vehicle development & validation. You will perform structural analysis of components/systems to assess the following characteristics: stiffness (static and dynamic), strength, durability, noise & vibration, and fastened joint performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop designs that meet customer requirements. You will also engage in innovation projects by supporting development of virtual tools and methods.
