About The Position

At General Motors, our product teams are redefining mobility. Through a human-centered design process, we create vehicles and experiences that are designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard —from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features. Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale.. The Role The Chassis Systems Virtual Design Development Validation (VDDV) team is a cutting-edge team that is critical to achieving GM’s vision of Zero Emissions, Zero Crashes, and Zero Congestion by developing and executing structural analysis procedures that support vehicle design development and validation. As a Chassis Structure Suspension Steering & Wheels Simulation Engineer, you will conduct design assessments with CAE methods that support vehicle development & validation. You will perform structural analysis of components/systems to assess the following characteristics: stiffness (static and dynamic), strength, durability, noise & vibration, and fastened joint performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop designs that meet customer requirements. You will also engage in innovation projects by supporting development of virtual tools and methods.
