Position Summary: The Charge Services Application Analyst is r esponsible for the implementation, maintenance, and daily support of charge capture within the Clinically Driven Revenue Cycle (CDRC) environment of the St. Luke’s Hospital network . This role ensures systems and processes align with our mission and core values, enhancing revenue integrity across the organization . Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values. This position offers a hybrid schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in IT, related health care experience, or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in Cerner Millennium applications specifically related to Charge Services.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare business processes, including charge capture and patient billing workflows.
  • Proficient in Cerner reporting tools: CCL, Discern Analytics/DA2, and HealtheAnalytics
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and high accuracy
  • Outstanding interpersonal, customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Well-organized and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to resolve complex technical and operational issues effectively
  • Skilled at collaborating across clinical, financial, and IT teams to develop and implement effective revenue capture solutions

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Revenue Cycle tools related to Cerner Patient Accounting or General Ledger (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain expert level understanding of charge capture methodologies and workflows, charge tiering logic, charge transformation capabilities, and charge related reports.
  • Collaborate with clinical department leaders to design, optimize, and audit charge capture processes, ensuring Chargemaster accuracy.
  • Monitor charge activity daily and resolve build issues resulting in suspended or disrupted charges in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a key liaison with Patient Financial Services, Health Information Services and Finance to ensure business processes and technical configurations are aligned for revenue integrity.
  • Apply systems knowledge to develop tailored technology solutions that meet business needs.
  • Identify and recommend enhancements, new solutions, and workflow improvements to drive efficiency.
  • Provide responsive customer support by managing incoming tickets, change requests, and escalations with urgency and professionalism.
