Charge Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg General Surgical Dept Bring your passion to Texas Health where we are Better +Together Work location\: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours\: PRN Days 7\:00 am – 7\:00 pm- Rotating Weekends/Holidays Department highlights: · Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth · Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team · Provides Leadership and clinical expertise to support the Med/surg General surgical unit (36 bed unit. · The General Surgical Nurse provides care to a wide variety of post op patients including\: complex gastro-intestinal and abdominal surgeries and plastics related wound care cases requiring ostomy, drain and wound vac management. · MAGNET facility · Level I Trauma Center

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
  • BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS- within 90 Days required
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
  • 1-year experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting required
  • demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
  • possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
  • have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems

Nice To Haves

  • 2-years experience as a clinical nurse in Med surg General Surgical setting preferred
