Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.
• Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License.
• Minimum of one year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care specialty nursing.
• One to three years of supervisory experience, preferred.
• Additional certifications required at start date or intrafacility transfer.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS as of start date (New graduate RN's within 90 days of start date).
• NRP as of start date (inexperienced L&D nurses within 90 days of start date).
• NIH within 90 days of start date for ICU/PCU.
• PALS, CPI within 90 days of start date, NIH within 90 days of start date for ER.
• PALS as of start date (inexperienced PACU nurses within 90 days of start date).

Responsibilities

• Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others.
• Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal health care outcomes.
• Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• Other duties as assigned.
