The Charge RN for MedSurg is responsible for coordinating the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as managing operational issues during their shift. This role includes providing clinical care as needed when census demands arise, and effectively communicating patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leaders. The Charge RN also serves as a resource for guidance and assistance to the nursing staff.
