Position Details: Location: St. Joseph's Hospital, 3001 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL 33677 Status: Fulltime Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM On Call: Yes Always in person Summary: The Operating Room Charge RN responsibilities include: Proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team Is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience. For this position, we strongly prefer at least 2 years Operating Room experience as an RN. Charge experience is preferred. Board running experience is preferred. This position will focus on General and Thoracic surgery lines.

Requirements

Interpersonal skills
BLS (Basic Life Support)
RN (Registered Nurse)
ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department
Bachelor's Nursing or Associate's Nursing and Bachelor's Science in related field or Associate's Nursing and RN Certification in related field
Minimum of 2 years RN experience

Nice To Haves

Charge experience
Board running experience
