About The Position

Centurion Health is proud to partner with the Georgia Department of Corrections to provide high-quality healthcare services to individuals in custody. We are currently seeking a full-time Registered Nurse Charge Nurse to join our team at Georgia Diagnostic & Classification Prison (GDCP) in Jackson, Georgia. This role is ideal for an experienced RN who enjoys leadership, structured clinical environments, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Under the guidance of the Director of Nursing and Health Services Administrator, the Charge RN at GDCP is responsible for managing the overall operations of the contracted clinical program at a designated correctional facility within a Centurion contract. Additional responsibilities include planning, coordinating, directing, and supervising the clinical program providing services to patients in a correctional setting to meet service delivery requirements of the specific contract.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
Minimum 4 years RN experience required
Strong leadership, clinical judgment, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a structured healthcare environment

Nice To Haves

Charge nurse, ER, corrections, psych, or med-surg experience preferred

Responsibilities

Providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients
Working under the direction of the Director of Nursing
Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to identify and respond to a wide range of physical and behavioral health needs
