Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience

Nice To Haves

• Prior leadership or charge nurse experience

Responsibilities

• Assume the responsibility and accountability for the delegation and coordination of patient care for a shift.
• Provide leadership to the staff by working cooperatively with the nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team.
• Assure that care is given through utilization of the nursing process.
