About The Position

Charge Registered Nurse Preop Pacu, provides quality patient care, delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner within all clinical areas of the facility, including pre-procedure, post-procedure and procedure room. This includes ensuring the Center's nursing activities comply with necessary legal, regulatory and accreditation standards. This individual also possesses the ability to assess data reflective of a patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to meet the patient's requirements as well as being able to maintain calmness in a crisis situation and direct staff members appropriately. Charge Registered Nurse Preop Pacu must be dependable and cooperative with physicians and other co-workers. Scope of service for this center includes orthopedics, GYN, ENT, general surgery, gastroenterology, pain management, and plastics. Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current Texas License as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Currently licensed in the state.
  • CPR required, advanced life support certification required.
  • 1-year leadership experience required intra-operative setting
  • Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities
