About The Position
This position is located at Lumberton Correctional Institution, Lumberton, NC. Lumberton Correctional serves as the hub for healthcare for the male inmate population. The facility is designed to house a maximum capacity of 832 offenders. Positions at this level perform comprehensive, complex professional-level nursing work in providing primary, preventative, and rehabilitative care to individuals and families in a variety of settings, including public health. Employees are responsible for the implementation, coordination and evaluation of patient care, and may assist the nursing supervisor by directly supervising all licensed and unlicensed nursing staff on their assigned shift.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina
- One year of nursing experience

- Documented knowledge of basic nursing principles and techniques to include physical assessments, clinical judgments, treatment planning, supervisory roles and evaluations.
