LVN/ RN Charge Nurse - Skilled Nursing Facility
About The Position
West Janisch Health Care Center is seeking a Full-Time LVN or RN Charge Nurse to join our clinical leadership team for the 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM shift . This role is ideal for a nurse who is confident, compassionate, and comfortable taking the lead in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a key role in coordinating care, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring residents receive high-quality, resident-centered care throughout your shift. Requirements
- Active LVN or RN license in the state of Texas (required)
- Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills
- Ability to lead, communicate, and problem-solve effectively
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused
Nice To Haves
- Prior skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience preferred
- Charge nurse or leadership experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans
- Supervise and support CNAs and nursing staff during the shift
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Perform assessments and monitor resident conditions
- Communicate changes in condition to physicians and leadership
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation
- Maintain compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Promote a safe, supportive, and team-oriented work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
