About The Position

Our Vascular Cardiac Unit is seeking a skilled nurse ready to move into their first step into leadership. How you grow, learn and thrive matters here. Our specialized Vascular Progressive Care Unit is hiring a charge RN. Charge RN will work under the direction of the Nursing Director, works with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as a part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety, and direction of unit staff in designated service area(s). May provide direct patient care This unit is dedicated to providing high quality, patient centered care for individuals undergoing cardiothoracic and vascular procedures including surgical interventions as well as general progressive patients. Currently a 24-bed unit, with expansion planned to 36 beds across 2 units. It is a fast-paced setting where patients require 24-hour complex care and continuous cardiac monitoring. Requirements

  • 1 Year Bedside Nursing
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
  • BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire

Responsibilities

  • Charge RN will work under the direction of the Nursing Director
  • Works with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as a part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety, and direction of unit staff in designated service area(s).
