Join our team in an 8-bed Pediatrics Unit featuring a combined unit with Pediatrics and PICU, located on the 1st floor. We serve a diverse variety of diagnosis, such as respiratory, abdominal pain and dehydration. We promote Family Centered Care, and we have a specialty care transport team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to promoting the well-being of children from 0-18 years old.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license.
  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS, PALS and NRP are required within six months of hire.
  • Peds/PICU experience required.
  • Experience in an acute care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers comprehensive patient care by implementing treatment plans, administering medications, assisting with daily living activities, and monitoring patient conditions.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including transfers, discharges, and support services.
  • Educates patients and families based on individual needs, advocates for patient rights and well-being, and addresses concerns promptly to ensure high-quality service.
  • Demonstrates leadership in supervising, coaching, and evaluating staff, assigning tasks, and maintaining effective communication across departments.
  • Maintains accurate documentation, upholds ethical standards, and adapts to changing workloads while supporting new team members and utilizing current technology in care delivery.
