Department/Unit Summary Join our team in a 16-bed Women's Services Unit featuring a Level 2 nursery and 9 LDR (Labor, Delivery, Recovery) rooms, 2 antepartum and 5 postpartum, located on the 2nd floor. With an average of 70 deliveries per month, our unit provides comprehensive care for expectant mothers and newborns. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to promoting a positive birthing experience and ensuring the health and well-being of mothers and infants alike. How you’ll contribute Delivers comprehensive patient care by implementing treatment plans, administering medications, assisting with daily living activities, and monitoring patient conditions. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including transfers, discharges, and support services. Educates patients and families based on individual needs, advocates for patient rights and well-being, and addresses concerns promptly to ensure high-quality service. Demonstrates leadership in supervising, coaching, and evaluating staff, assigning tasks, and maintaining effective communication across departments. Maintains accurate documentation, upholds ethical standards, and adapts to changing workloads while supporting new team members and utilizing current technology in care delivery.

Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and NRP are required within six months of hire.
  • L&D/NICU experience required.
  • Experience in an acute care facility preferred.
