Join our team in a dynamic 19-bed Emergency Room (ER) located on the 1st floor, with a 1:4 nurse to patient ratio. Our diverse staff includes RNs, Nurse Externs, Paramedics, EMTs, MAs, CNAs, Phlebotomists, Pharmacists, and Providers, creating a collaborative environment to deliver exceptional care. Known for our wide variety of patient care services, including cardiac, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, strokes trauma, bariatric accreditations, and offer the only Pediatric and PICU in Southern New Mexico. With an average daily volume of approximately 108 patients, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality emergency medical care while working alongside a dedicated team in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS, PALS and TNCC are required.
  • CEN preferred.
  • Experience in acute care facility preferred.
  • ER experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers comprehensive patient care by implementing treatment plans, administering medications, assisting with daily living activities, and monitoring patient conditions.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including transfers, discharges, and support services.
  • Educates patients and families based on individual needs, advocates for patient rights and well-being, and addresses concerns promptly to ensure high-quality service.
  • Demonstrates leadership in supervising, coaching, and evaluating staff, assigning tasks, and maintaining effective communication across departments.
  • Maintains accurate documentation, upholds ethical standards, and adapts to changing workloads while supporting new team members and utilizing current technology in care delivery.
