About The Position
Spring Harbor Hospital is a 100-bed free-standing nonprofit psychiatric hospital located in Westbrook, ME. It is one of two freestanding psychiatric hospitals in the state of Maine and offers services for both children and adults. The Adolescent unit at Spring Harbor hospital specializes in the care of children, generally in the 12 to 17-year-old range, in a 14 bed facility. Our multidisciplinary patient care team specializes in the treatment of diagnoses most commonly found in children and adolescents. These include Depression, Disruptive Behavior Disorders, Emerging Psychotic Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Substance Use disorders. The Registered Nurse - Charge - Behavioral Health role assumes frontline leadership in the daily operations of the department and works collaboratively with departmental staff, physicians/advanced practice practitioners, hospital staff, pre-hospital providers and community agencies to provide oversight and direction for the delivery of safe patient and family centered care.
