About The Position

Seeking Charge Nurse! Baptist Health Floyd, Oncology Unit Part-time (24 Hours Weekly), Days(7am-7pm) Benefit Eligible Job Duties: Responsible for acting as a resource nurse for the department. This is an entry-level leadership position responsible for the coordination of care on designated shifts. He/she will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in the area of patient care. This position will work alongside the team and provide direct patient care while determining needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, responding to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues and coordinate patient flow. This position has immediate oversight of employees while performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads. About the Unit: The Oncology Unit, also known as 2A, is a 10-bed unit that provides care to Chemotherapy/Cancer Support/Hospice/Telemetry/Post-Op patients. Nurses have the opportunity to build their skill set in a med/surg atmosphere while also developing specialty skills related to chemotherapy and oncology care. New Graduate LPNs and RNs are welcome.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN
• Current Indiana or compact state RN license
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required
• Chemo Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire)
• One year of nursing experience required
• Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in area of specialty preferred
