Build your Career. Make a Difference. Presbyterian Kaseman is seeking a Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department (ED) who is responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of the unit. This role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care to patients with urgent and emergent medical conditions. Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
- BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire
- Minimum One year of nursing experience required
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff in the Emergency Department.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and timely patient care.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to provide immediate and comprehensive care.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to nursing staff, fostering professional growth and development.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a positive and collaborative work environment, addressing any staff concerns or issues promptly.
