About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a dedicated individual to coordinate billing services, primarily focusing on physician billing. Responsibilities include handling payments, coordinating billing services for physician practices and home health, and providing diagnostic and procedural codes for patient health information. The position also involves entering patient encounters into the practice management billing application and communicating with various teams within the organization. A strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and associated modifiers is essential for successful encounter processing, along with staying updated on CMS guidelines. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and clearing worklists in a timely manner. The estimated pay range for this position is $17.79 - $21.53 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED or equivalent training or experience required.
• 2 years of healthcare experience required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Systems: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access is a must.
• Detail-oriented team player with excellent written and communication skills.
• Experience in medical record review for documentation and bill auditing required.
• Proficient in English and Spanish.
• Ability to foster and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians, hospital leaders, staff, and patients.
• Excellent time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Background in coding experience in areas such as collections, refunds, and reviews of claims preferred.
