About The Position

The Charge Capture Specialist serves as the charge capture subject matter expert responsible for reviewing documentation and assigning appropriate charge capture and entering data/charges to include Emergency Department charges; ascertains the accuracy of the data/charges and communicates directly with physicians and their office staff to resolves claim edits such as failed medical necessity edits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

• Coding Certification(s)
• Business or healthcare related degree
• Three (3) years of experience in charge capture or medical coding
