About The Position

Our beloved mascot, Blue the Pig, is a vital member of our team. He is a spunky teen, responsible for entertaining guest and being involved in various activities and events throughout the year.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate non-verbally to interact with the public.
• Engaging, animated presence
• Passion for working with kids
• Able to withstand high heat and enclosed spaces for extended periods of time (up to 30 minutes)
• High School or equivalent education required.
• 2 years’ experience in a guest services role required.
• All employees must maintain a neat and clean appearance per Cape Resorts standards.
• Must be available on weekends and holidays.
• Ideal height for correct costume fit would be between 5’0” and 5’5”

Nice To Haves

• Experience working as a character/mascot preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests while in costume, display enthusiasm and high energy always to elevate the experience
• Preserve the identity of the mascot without deviating from established character including body language/mannerisms, attitude, and fan interaction.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Consistently execute care and maintenance to ensure costume is always in operational, guest-ready, condition.
• Ability to be trained and crossed utilized to support other activities as required.
• Act on behalf of the Guest Experience Team as a Host and lead groups of all ages in tours, activities, and games.
