About The Position

The Chaplain position at University Hospital is focused on addressing the spiritual, emotional, and relational health needs of patients, their loved ones, and the hospital staff. This role is inclusive of all individuals, regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or religious preference. The Chaplain is expected to exhibit empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and analytical abilities to assess spiritual needs and provide assistance in complex moral, spiritual, and ethical matters.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree from an accredited theological school is required.
  • A Master of Divinity is preferred.
  • Four units of certified Clinical Pastoral Education through an accredited CPE center are required.
  • One-year clinical residency through an ACPE-accredited CPE center is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Board Certification preferred.
  • Ecclesiastical endorsement is required.

Responsibilities
