About The Position
Overview We are seeking a part-time Chaplain to work with our residents in our Assisted Living facilities ! Schedule includes: This position is scheduled for 25-30 hours per pay period. Requirements
- Degree in Theology or Pastoral ministry preferred
- 1-2 units of CPE, or equivalent training or experience
- Two+ years of experience working in long term care or hospice preferred
- Broad understanding of diverse religious traditions
- Active member in a church/temple/mosque of applicant's faith tradition or spiritual community
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Responsibilities
- Regular visits with residents as a Pastoral/spiritual presence
- Collaborate with Pastoral Care team and Interdisciplinary team, participate in care conferences as needed
- Conduct communal prayer services on unit as scheduled
- Arrange that Sacramental needs for residents are met as requested
- Able to administer sacramental communion is required
