About The Position

Step into a meaningful role within our Hospice Care Team as a Chaplain dedicated
to supporting patients and families during some of life’s most vulnerable
moments.
You’ll serve as a trusted resource for nurses, physicians, caregivers,
and loved ones, helping maintain comfort, dignity, and continuity of care.

Chaplaincy position with Hospice of Cincinnati Navigators in the North region of
the service territory.
This position will primarily provide care for patients
and their families in the homecare setting.
Caseload averages 40-50.
Chaplain
works closely with the interdisciplinary team and chaplain team.
The position
requires a high degree of self-management, the ability to manage an
ever-changing client base, ability and willingness to support people of all
faiths or no faith.

Provides pastoral care to patients and families. Provides spiritual care and
emotional support in crisis situations. Participates in on-call as appropriate.

Requirements

• Master's Degree of Divinity, Theology, or equivalency (acknowledged by APC, NACC, NAJC or ACPE)
• Clinical Pastoral Education (Required)
• 3 - 4 years experience Professional in Chaplaincy (Required)
• 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education
• Other Certified, or meets a certification committee within three years by APC, NACC, NAJC or ACPE Required
• Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• 2 - 3 years desired outside of training; Clinical Pastoral Education (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Visits patients/families to provide spiritual care and emotional support
• Provides care in crisis situations
• Responds in a timely manner to admissions
• Is fllexible and takes initiative in providing services
• Participates in on-call as appropriate
• Functions as a positive member of the chaplain and interdisciplinary teams
