You’ll foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for people of all faiths, build meaningful relationships with our community, and ensure every resident feels supported spiritually and emotionally.

  • Leading and coordinating regular worship services, Bible studies, and seasonal celebrations (Advent, Lent, All Saints Sunday)
  • Providing individual spiritual care and counseling for residents and families
  • Supporting grief and end-of-life transitions in collaboration with Social Services and hospice
  • Offering inclusive spiritual support, including coordinating Catholic sacraments and interfaith connections
  • Building relationships with local clergy and faith communities
  • Participating in funerals, memorials, and special services upon request
  • Working closely with the Lutheran Foundation for the Aging (LFA), who oversees this role
  • A heart for ministry and a calling to serve the elderly, including those experiencing dementia
  • Experience in chaplaincy, pastoral care, or congregational ministry
  • Comfort ministering to individuals from a variety of religious backgrounds
  • Ability to deliver compassionate, accessible sermons and lead inclusive worship
  • Flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays based on residents' needs
  • Ordained Lutheran pastor (ELCA or LCMS) (preferred)
