About The Position

We are looking for a Chaplain in the Bloomington. MN area. This position is responsible for assessing spiritual health needs and providing direct spiritual care and consultation to residents, families, and staff. Work responsibilities include providing worship services, bible studies or spirituality groups, facilitating support groups, identifying and responding to spiritual and emotional needs of residents and staff. The Associate Chaplain connects to spiritual/religious community organizations to address specific spiritual and religious needs of residents. Part-time caregiver support schedule includes; 30 hours per two weeks Day/evening/night shift Weekends as needed As part of the Martin Luther Campus Senior Community, Meadow Woods Assisted Living is a residential setting by woodlands, wetlands, mall of america, and the Minnesota River Bluffs. Our 113 unit assisted, independent and memory care buildings are located in East Bloomington, MN near public transportation. Our staff encourages participation in the many regularly scheduled activities and lifelong learning programs. Requirements

  • Graduate or post graduate degree in process in theology, religious studies or training as required by the chaplain’s faith group
  • One or more units of ACPE accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
  • One to three years experience
  • Maintain role as "clergy in good standing" with religious adjudicating body and APC/NACC communities.
  • Adept with basic computer systems such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate degree in theology from a CHEA accredited theological seminary or religious studies program
  • Knowledge of senior population and various concerns related to the aging process
  • Endorsement by faith group
