The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana State Hospital / Intensive Behavior Center. Delivering and coordinating holistic care, encompassing the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of each individual from admission through discharge. This position will liaison with the DPHHS Office of Faith and Community Based Services on resources and faith-based organizations. Chaplains collaborate with a diverse team of faith leaders and volunteers to ensure that every admitted person has the opportunity to receive spiritual and religious support tailed to their personal beliefs and preferences. Requirements

  • Candidate would be required to spend four days a week at the Montana State Hospital (Warm Springs, MT) and one day a week at the Intensive Behavior Center (Boulder, MT)
  • Must have a valid driver license to travel between facilities with own vehicle.
  • Ability to flex time to be available for weekend coverage if needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree of religious studies or social services
  • 2-years related work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Association of professional chaplains / board of chaplaincy certification preferred
